Position Overview & Qualifications

Position Summary

Seeking a dynamic, committed, and community-driven Yoga Teacher to deliver powerful, authentic, accessible, all-levels classes that align with our studio’s values and vision. Teachers are expected to create a space where students feel seen, safe, supported, and challenged, offering exceptional instruction and deep community connection.

This is a leadership-based role with opportunities for personal and professional growth in a collaborative and empowering environment. Candidates must be experienced in or highly educated in Baptiste Yoga methodology, as our teaching is deeply rooted in this approach. A strong understanding of Baptiste principles and a passion for growth, service, and integrity are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Class Instruction

  • Teach vibrant, all-levels yoga classes with a clear theme and intentional music

  • Provide a welcoming, empowering, and connected experience for every student

  • Offer at least one individualized touchpoint (assist, cue, or recognition) per student in each class

  • Be fully present before, during, and after each class

Communication

  • Deliver clear, audible, and concise instruction

  • Use Point-to-Point cueing (action–body part–location)

  • Speak into all quadrants and incorporate everyone in the room

  • Announce the pose name before cueing

Engagement & Intention

  • Teach with authenticity and energy

  • Share why you practice and what it means to you

  • Encourage possibilities and build connection using affirming language

  • Use student names and foster a strong community vibe

Class Atmosphere

  • Fill the space with confident presence and voice

  • Utilize S.T.O.P. method (Silence, Take a breath, Observe, Proceed) when appropriate

  • Teach from your declaration and real lived experience

Requirements

  • 200-hour RYT certification

  • Training in Baptiste Power Yoga methodology

  • Training in administering Hands-on Assists

  • Personal liability insurance (required)

  • CPR/AED certification (required)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to receive & give feedback

  • Commitment to growth, presence, and community
