Kim’s Story
As a middle school art teacher and lifelong creative, Kim found yoga as a natural extension of her love for mindfulness and self-expression. What began as a way to bring balance to a busy life in education has become a grounding practice that supports both her teaching and personal well-being. Yoga offers her space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect—something she’s passionate about cultivating for her students through art and community.
Kim is dedicated to creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow. Whether in the classroom or leading a practice, she brings a calm, encouraging presence and a belief that everyone can find their own version of success. To her, yoga, like art, is a practice of patience, presence, and possibility.
Outside the studio, you’ll find her reading, creating, and connecting with her community.
Favorite place to relax: In a room full of art supplies.
Favorite animal: Humans! They’re unpredictable, creative, and occasionally well-behaved. Equal favorites are my cats, Sassy and Nessy.
Favorite yoga pose: Half lotus with a bind forward fold, I love the deep stretch and added balance challenge.
Three deserted island creature comforts: Sketchbook, a novel, and all my favorite people.
How do you take your coffee? I don’t… peppermint tea is my favorite!
