Marissa's Story
Marissa Lewis is an entrepreneur, mother, and lifelong student of personal growth and development and has a passion for holistic healing and somatic trauma-informed therapies. Besides raising two teenage daughters, and running a jewelry and real estate business, her soul calling is nutrition and somatic healing practices.
Through the years of transformation and healing, Marissa found herself working through chronic back and hip pain after a CrossFit injury that wouldn’t heal. She knew that there was an emotional component to her physical pain and by reprogramming her brain and working through trauma with somatic healing practices, her body began to respond positively. After finding relief and healing through somatic movement, she became certified in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy and completed her RYS 200-Hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Certification in 2023. She is currently working on completing a bachelor’s degree in psychology at WSU. Marissa teaches the ‘Somatic Sensations’ classes.
